MARANELLO

Consultancy for the drafting of the P.A.U. (Urban Accessibility Plan) of the municipality of Maranello commissioned by the architect Bruno De Pietri.

In 2017 AAA participated as a specialized consultant for the elimination of architectural barriers of the P.A.U. (Urban Accessibility Plan) of the municipality of Maranello.

This task was divided into two parts:

1st analysis of the routes in the center of Maranello;

2nd analysis of the roads in Pozza, Gorzano, Torre Maina and Bell’italia.

  • The objectives of the administration were several:
  • Eliminate barriers on the most frequented routes to make the city accessible to all;
  • To draw up a census of architectural barriers;
  • Raise citizens’ awareness of social issues that are often not sufficiently known;
  • Increase the level of urban safety.

Following a thorough analysis of the pedestrian road network and a series of meetings with local associations, an intervention program was drawn up to ensure better conditions for all in the use of public places, goods and services.

During the development of this plan, AAA was asked to advise on the selection and supervision of the installation of a SPECIAL FLOORING SYSTEM FOR THE BLIND AND VISUALLY DISABLED.

This particular system has the great advantage that it can be applied directly to an existing floor without the need for demolition and reconstruction work.

NONANTOLA ABBEY

Consulting on the project for the adaptation of the internal accessibility of the Nonantola Abbey (MO) commissioned by arch. Domenico Biondi, of the architectural firm ProgettistiAssociati of Sassuolo (MO).

The Nonantola Abbey, in particular the religious building, appears today with its imposing volume and its considerable internal dimensions as a result of the significant and important transformations carried out in the three-year period between 1913 and 1917.

In our country, in particular, the solution adopted in churches has always been to overcome the differences in height with inclined ramps, located in historic buildings with negative visual impacts but tolerated because of their usefulness.

The solutions indicated, already used in other countries, such as France and Germany, avoid the impact of cumbersome mobile rack and pinion platforms that already exist inside the abbey but are difficult to use, with mechanical sideshifters that are perfectly inserted and not visible because they are integrated into the pavement. A simple horizontal lifting and translation of a platform reaches the position to accommodate the person or wheelchair, which can be used independently even without a companion.

In the case of Nonantola Abbey, everyone will be able to access from the main entrance, regardless of ability.

SOLIERA

Consultancy for the drafting of the P.E.B.A. plan for the municipality of Soliera (MO) commissioned by the architect Bruno De Pietri.

The P.E.B.A., or Plans for the Elimination of Architectural Barriers, are the tools capable of controlling, designing and planning interventions aimed at achieving an optimal threshold of usability of buildings for all citizens.

The drafting of the P.E.B.A. plan was divided as follows:

  • preliminary phase in which two survey sheets were prepared (one for public buildings and one for urban areas and spaces);
  • mapping of public buildings;
  • drafting of the plan with the definition of the necessary interventions with the relative rough estimate of the intervention costs;
  • information and participation phase involving the various associations in the area;
  • verification and evaluation of the interventions included in the plan.
